Parvalux is the UK’s largest manufacturer of fractional-horsepower, geared, electric motors and is supplying OEM’s worldwide in markets including Industrial Automation, Materials Handling and Building Automation. The company has been in business for more than 70 years and is part of the maxon group.
Parvalux defined ambitious growth targets and therefore set out to building a brand-new facility in Poole, UK. To optimize the material flow Parvalux was also looking into implementing new equipment and machinery. With the new building the company operates on a much bigger square footage and therefore it was essential to find a solution that gets much more material to the production lines in time. Parvalux implemented two LiftLiner® tugger trains along with compatible K.Hartwall load carriers to support fast, efficient material transport in their new facility. The solution enabled easy loading from both sides, excellent manoeuvrability, and movement between floors, even in tight spaces. With a fully electric system and the ability to combine different loads on one train, the company streamlined internal logistics while reducing maintenance costs.
