"Even though, K.Hartwall’s Foldia® was almost twice as expensive as the demountable alternative, we chose the Foldia® because we believed the solution was better for our Logistics and the Total Cost of Ownership is actually lower when you consider the cost impacts across the entire Supply Chain from warehouse to store shelf."

WINETIME is a nationwide chain of gastro and wine markets, founded in 2010 as part of Asnova Holding. Today the company operates in 14 regions of Ukraine and has 31 gastro & wine markets plus an online store. Their portfolio contains more than 8,000 products.
WINETIME was looking for an efficient solution to transport goods safely and replenish faster their stores. They were using demountable roll containers which were hard and unergonomic to handle. Also, the vehicle cubic fill was not optimized, and the 2-sided demountable roll containers required the employee to use stretch foil to secure the goods.
WINETIME tested both K.Hartwall’s Foldia® and demountable roll containers. They picked at the end the 4-sided Foldia as it is both helping them to keep their handling costs down throughout the whole Supply Chain from warehouse to store shelf. Also Foldia was a more ergonomic solutions and all the WINETIME employees loved the new roll cages as it is easier to maneuver.
The Foldia® roll container was identified as an innovative solution thanks to its exceptional 5:1 nesting ratio, enabling significant space savings across warehouses, stores, and return logistics. During testing—including a visit to an existing customer—Foldia® proved easy to operate and cost-effective throughout the supply chain. Notably, the 4-sided version maintained the same folding ratio as the 2-sided model, further enhancing its versatility.
