John had just celebrated his 75th birthday earlier in March and received last year the medal for 50 years of service in the company.
K.Hartwall CEO Jerker Hartwall has also contracted COVID-19 but is doing well given the circumstances and recovers at home in quarantine. Executive Vice President Eero Heinonen is temporary responsible for the company operations.
Both the Hartwall family and the company hope that the press and the public will respect the family’s privacy and sorrow in this difficult time.

K.Hartwallin hallituksen jäsen ja monivuotinen toimitusjohtaja John Hartwall on nukkunut rauhallisesti pois lyhyen, mutta aggressiivisen COVID-19 taudin aiheuttaman sairauden jälkeen.
John oli täyttänyt 75 vuotta maaliskuun alussa ja vietti viime vuonna täydet 50 vuotta yrityksen palveluksessa.
K.Hartwallin nykyinen toimitusjohtaja Jerker Hartwall on myös sairastunut COVID-19 tautiin, mutta voi olosuhteisiin nähden hyvin ja toipuu kotona karanteenissa. Varatoimitusjohtaja Eero Heinonen on vastuussa yrityksen operatiivisesta toiminnasta.
